Millage Information

The Lexington County Millage Charts by Fiscal Year is a compilation of mills by tax district for each agency. The districts on each chart have a different millage rate to help fund their budget. The millage rate is the number of mills levied on taxpayers to meet each district budget. One mill equals 1/1000 of a dollar.

To calculate the taxes due for real and personal property, find the tax district and convert the millage rate to a decimal by moving the decimal three spaces to the left. Then use that number and multiply it by the assessed value of the property. This will give you the taxes due prior to any credits.

You may use the tax estimator, located above on the navigation bar under Online Services, to help to determine the taxes due for each property. The tax estimator for real and personal property calculates the taxes due and the applicable credits.
